  3. This is a tutorial on the Execute Highlighted Program and Execute Command
  4. features.
  5.  
  6.  
  7. To use the Execute Highlighted Program command:
  8.  
  9. 1.  Highlight the name of the executable file or command (see below).
  10. 2.  Do one of the following:
  11.     a. Press F5.
  12.     b. Choose Execute Highlighted Program from the Tools menu.
  13.     c. Click on the Execute Highlighted Program button (next to the phone).
  14.  
  15. Note: Do not highlight a return before the program name or command. 
  16.  
  17. Here are some examples:
  18.  
  19. To quickly highlight a word, double-click on it.  
  20.  
  21. Keyword:                   Description:
  22. dosprmpt.pif               - execute DOS (runs dosprmpt.pif)
  23. c:\windows\winfile.exe     - execute File Manager
  24. sol                        - execute Solitare (sol.exe)
  25. cardfile                   - execute cardfile.exe

  27. The following are commands for Execute Highlighted Program:

  30. dos             - execute DOS (runs dosprmpt.pif)
  31. del <filename>  - delete <filename>            
  32. screen saver    - start the screen saver
  33. file manager    - run file manager
  34. md <dirname>    - make directory named <dirname>
  35. rd <dirname>    - remove directory named <dirname>
  36. task list       - show the task list window
  37. control panel   - show the control panel
  38. clipboard       - show the clipboard.

  41. To change directories, use the File Open dialog box then choose cancel when
  42. the directory you want active is open.
  43.  
  44. To use the Execute Program feature, you can also press the right mouse button.
  45. If a word is not highlighted and the right mouse button is pressed while the
  46. pointer is over an inactive window, the inactive window will become active.

  48. To navigate through files (change directories, see files, etc.), use the 
  49. File Open command, on the menu or toolbar.
